The LW36-252 high-voltage autogas gas circuit breaker is designed for use in AC power systems with a frequency of 50–60 Hz and a rated voltage of 252 kV. The switch performs the functions of a control and protection device in power systems, and can also be used as a sectional switch. The product complies with the requirements of GB1984 “High Voltage AC Circuit Breakers” and IEC 62271-100 “High Voltage AC Circuit Breakers”.
The circuit breaker uses SF6 gas (SF₆) as an insulating and arc-extinguishing medium. The operating principle is based on autogas arc extinguishing. Distinctive features are high breaking capacity, low energy consumption per drive, high reliability, compact design and low noise level.
The main purpose is to switch on and off rated currents, short-circuit currents, as well as switching power lines to ensure protection, control and operation of power transmission and distribution systems.
