The high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker for indoor installation ZN85-40.5 (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breaker) is intended for use in three-phase alternating current electrical power systems with a frequency of 50 Hz and a rated voltage of 40.5 kV. The switch can be used in industrial enterprises, in the mining industry, in power plants and substations to switch on and off operating currents, overload currents and short-circuit currents.
The design of the switch provides for a vertical arrangement of the drive relative to the poles, which made it possible to significantly reduce the depth of the switch.
The three arc chutes and corresponding live parts are insulated from each other by three separate epoxy insulating cylinders, forming a combined insulating structure. The switch meets the requirements for air clearances and creepage distances under normal operating conditions, while the overall dimensions of the switch are significantly reduced. Vacuum arc-extinguishing chambers and current-carrying connections of fixed and moving contacts of the main circuit are installed inside insulating cylinders, which made it possible to reduce the distance between poles to 300 mm. All electrical connections of the main circuit are made permanent, which ensures high reliability. Insulating cylinders are fixed on the top of the circuit breaker frame.
A spring drive specially developed for this design is installed inside the circuit breaker frame. Its design features optimally match the vertical layout of the circuit breaker and are an integral part of the overall design. The drive is simple in design, and its output characteristics and operating parameters are perfectly adapted to the 40.5 kV vacuum circuit breaker. The overall layout is rational, aesthetic and compact. The switch is characterized by reliable electrical parameters, long service life, ease of maintenance and no need for drive maintenance.
The switch is suitable for frequent switching operations and can be used in a variety of conditions, including those with stringent operating requirements.
